  I'm in the same boat. I take on average a total of
29 pills in a 24hr period, 10 of which are a pain med. :<

 Unfortunately (or not as the case may be) I'm one of those who's
body ignores pretty much every kind of narcotic there is out there
unless I take 'em in handful amounts.

 The good side is I'm not likely to get hooked but otoh it means
they don't work worth a damn either.
