If a BBS wants to keep an outdated echo, I say "have at it". However, there has to be a way, especially for new folks, to know that "Hey, this echo hasn't seen traffic in 3 years - so it may be dead". An idea for a "next generation" backbone.na file is perhaps a field or two added for statistics like volume and last activity. That way someone looking at it could easily see that this echo last saw activity on 3-10-2019 so it is probably still active, etc. --- SBBSecho 3.06-Linux* Origin: Gateway to the West BBS | St. Louis, Missouri (1:290/10) SEEN-BY: 153/250 757 201/119 203/0 221/0 1 6 360 261/38 280/464 5003 290/10 SEEN-BY: 292/854 633/267 280 712/620 848 886 770/1 @PATH: 290/10 153/757 221/6 1 280/464 712/848 633/267 |
