If a BBS wants to keep an outdated echo, I say "have at it".
However, there
has to be a way, especially for new folks, to know that "Hey, this echo hasn't
seen traffic in 3 years - so it may be dead".

An idea for a "next generation" backbone.na file is perhaps a field or two
added for statistics like volume and last activity. That way someone looking
at it could easily see that this echo last saw activity on 3-10-2019 so it is
probably still active, etc.
