I had a similar issue.  My solution was to go 5D, but that requires a tosser
that can do 5D, of course.  I don't know whether Husky (hpt) can do 5D, so I
can't help there.  And I haven't yet struck the case of the remote end not
hacing a FTN domain - all of my peers use FTN domains for mailer sessions.
