| subject: | Last tag!..... |
On 18 Jul 05 00:13:40, JOHNJWILSON got back to DAN CEPPA -> Re: Last tag!..... -> All you need to do is run BW in a DOS Box window from Win. I'm -> doing that right now with Win98. I've got my XP system set up -> to do the same. -> JO> And the BW packet from a DOS box will go to Windows Doc's Place? If you set up your logon in DOCS correctly, it all should work just like when you first used BW. Instead of reading on line, you should get a d/l. Then you read them in BW. Your reps will them be sent up to DOCS just like you did before. -> The main thing is that you have a copy of BW on your system -> and that you can open it. JO> Havn't had one since win 3.11 days... :-) And you still miss it, don;t you! JO> The best place to d/l BW is __________? A search for Blue Wave on the net should locate it for you. I'd say get BW230. But, BW386 may work well for you. (I have personal reasons for staying with 2.30) If you can't find them, send me your I net addy and I'll send you copies. BTW, DOCS may have them on hand for d/l. JO> With luck, it's a prior copy of BW -> and it contains your old settings. -> JO> No lock. Long gone. Your's not the packrat I am! I still have BW 2.12 on my system. JO> (Hmmm. I KNEW there'd be a trick to this...:-) JO> Work arounds? Involving SOLDER, prob'ly :-) The only one I think you will need is Dale Shipp's BWREPFIX. It took care of a QWK Y2K anomolie that messed up some header fields in the message. Check with Jean Parrot. I know he accesses DOCS in a similar fashion. He should be able to explain how to d/l and then u/l your replies much better than I can. I've never logged onto DOCS. --- OMX/Blue Wave/DOS v2.30* Origin: Soundly on the Fault Line (1:138/666.0) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 138/666 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
