Hm ... Matrix printer I think. Do you feed is normal A4 sheets?
If so you might wish to check whether there is something which detects 'end 
of paper' -- and whether it can be switched off (if it is on). Maybe there is 
also something set up incorrectly regarding the actual paper size.
My old matrix printer (ten years old, but still working when I connect it) 
had some settings to set it to 11 or 12 inch paper and to optionally skip the 
last inch.
Feeding it A4 paper was . So I 
bought a laser (second hand) fairly early.

Did you try to make a plain ascii file with sufficient lines for more than 
one page -- e.g. just a bunch of numbers to indicate which line it is -- then 
copying that file to PRN? What were the effects around the end of the first 
page and the begin of the second page?

I suspect that you don't exactly got what I meant. Does anything on the 
bottom of the page -- as shown by preview -- actually print on that page? Or 
does it go to the next page? Did you try to change the page margins? 
Shift-F8, p, m?
