I find there a lot of the security people are active in Radio of
different sorts.
The day I bought my HTX-202 up to the store, a security officer says to
me that doesn't sound like a local, it turned out the person was from
Florida that I had been talking to.
I like the fact that we have several Security Officers at the store I
work at, since I could not do that type of work.
No need to get a new computer, if you can get what you want done on it,
I get on FidoNet and that is about all I do with my computer. I do a few
simple programs in GWBASIC, boo hiss!, I know its not the language of
the future. I am using a 286. I learned on an 8088 and loved using them
though color was and graphics were slow on it at times.
What types of services do you listen to the most?
What type/s of antenna/s are you using?
I am only using the built in whip on the Pro-2035. I may if I ever feel
like climbing put up something else.
Since I am a licensed ham, I would like an antenna for both the scanner
and the 2 Meter ham band.
Since my last message, I found about a 100 more channels to fill with
frequencies, I may use up the 1000 channels on the Pro-2035 eventually.
I think channels on a scanner is similar to Space and Memory needed for
a computer.
Best regards,
Charles George
