Hello Larry!
LB>HN> have a 15" lens...boy that's a big one!
LB>The neat thing is that it may or may not be! It is 380mm -
LB>roughly like a 400mm, if it is on a 35mm - big in that context.
LB>On your 4 x 5 it would be a nice portrait lens, about the
LB>equivalent of a 105mm on your 35.
Hmmm, I would think it would be a bit longer than that...I'm still a
novice at calculating lenses for the 4X5...
LB>On a 6x7 it would be a handy medium telephoto equivalent to
LB>the 180 Nikon that is popular for sports and stage shooting.
That's what I figured it would be equivalent to on the 4X5
LB>Bob Dial mentioned it was for an 8 x 10. On that, it would just
LB>be a standard normal lens just about the same as the garden variety
LB>50mm lens sold on millions of 35mm SLRs. Oh, and if it would cover
LB>an 11 x 14 sheet on my dream Deardorff, it would be a wide-angle!
How much bellows draw would I need to use something like that on my
Super Speed graphic?
chat with you soon!
