Are you running Warp 4 by any chance?  The delay seems to be a common gripe 
amongst version 3/connect users from what I gather from talking to others 
about this matter.  Seems the delay has been eliminated in Warp 4 but a newer 
version hasn't been released for previous Warp versions.  As an aside, I do 
notice however, we are getting a 32 bit release of CHKDSK (in beta right now) 
that promise to fix some of the bugs in the previous version as well as 
adding some enhancements to it.  :-)
