Ah, so.  It was a display problem.  My 16:9 widescreen monitor doesn't
show everything.

But, now I have configured to wait 40 sec and I have the same problem.
Also, I don't sense that wait happening.  I see some people can't solve
this on their wifi connectivity.

I don't logically see how waiting before Kodi starts can 'work' because
it is Kodi which knows how to connect to the wifi and Kodi knows the ntp
server.  If that is where the time/date is supposed to come from and
only Kodi knows the wifi and ntgp, I can't see it working.
