I did, actually. In fact, when they had the swinging doors open
above the gate, I honestly expected it. Maybe they didn't have
any oil handy in the keep?

Or pitch. Pitch would have been *really* good. And catapults to
throw it.

I have a similar defense; I'll do bizarre things in public like
that just for the fun of it. Besides, I'm such a ham that it
would have been purely a chance to show off. :)
