we'll just have to wait and see... it really isn't all that hard to make one's
own distribution and leave that mess out, though... i do a lot of work with a
firewall product that started life as an extremely stripped RH... over time, it
has morphed into its own thing and some stuff from numerous distributions in
it... i don't know that it even has sysinit or the newer format of it in it as
it only has one rc.d directory and no init.d directory at all...
