Sounds to me like he needs to fiddle with the settings for fonts. I
don't know Win 2000, but have Win XP. I'll describe what to do
there in the hopes it might be similar.
To reset the font (and thus the window size), do a right click on the
title bar (the blue bar at the top of the window). That should bring
up a menu. Part way down that window, select "properties". Click on
it. That should bring up another window where the properties are
defined. I use TT font, size 24 -- but your mileage may vary. When
you are done, you will be asked if you want that font size for all
DOS windows or just this one. Experiment with "just this one" until
you are happy, then make it sticky by saying "all".
