I'm using now a 486/33, 8M RAM, 207M hard drive. That's my second IBM-type
computer: the previous one was an Amstrad PC1512, with an 8086 (4.77 MHz),
512L RAM, 20M hard drive -- and, if the monitor still worked, I'd still be
using it for word processing.
But over there in the corner is a Pentium 100, with 16M RAM and a 850M hard
drive. It needs a monitor, modem, keyboard, mouse...nothing I couldn't take
from the 486....
Do you have the lasted version of Bob Rankin's essay on the Net via
e-mail? I have a version that's a couple of years old.
Bon computique!
