I'm beginning to see a trend here...I don't think most schools are equipped 
o
handle ADHD! I have an 8 year old with ADHD that I'm trying to homeschool now
because she marches to the beat of her own drummer and it's certainly not the
same beat as the school's.
She's on Dexadrine, but since she's underweight to begin with and doesn't 
ave
much appetite, the doctor wants me to "endure all that you can endure." I 
think
I've about reached that point! Last year in public school, if we ran out of 
her
meds the school would send her home until I was able to get more. They
couldn't/or wouldn't deal with her like that. She wouldn't sit down and do
anything assigned at all. That's the problem I'm having at home too...I think
I'm going to HAVE to medicate her - at least during "school" hours.
Then I can have time to deal with the challenge of figuring out which planet
the drummer she marches to resides on.
