Hello Alan,
BB>SHELL-332-21: A network server could not be found.
AF> At this point, it _is_ appropriate to use TRACK ON on the server
AF> to determine whether the server is receiving your workstation's
AF> request for GET NEAREST SERVER (although we still don't find a
AF> LOAD statement for the NIC on the server, nor a BIND statement for
AF> IPX; are you using TCP/IP on the server, by chance?).
AF> Did you get my earlier message discussing the use of TRACK ON to
 AF> troubleshoot this problem?
Yes. I posted a recap. You should see it soon :-)
Track on shows no requests from the pentium.
I have found out by testing on the 386 that if frame is set to 802
track shows nothing. So I guess track will not show garbage - only
requests it understands. I needed to know this.
A few of you have told me that server.exe needs more info.
I have no idea where it is coming from but the server does work!
The 386 has no problem working with the server, ok?
Anyway, here is all the info I can provide as to how the server is
loading the necessary modules. If I can find a way to capture the
creens
as the server installs I will post them.
     There is no config.sys.

That's all she wrote, folks!
I don't know how the stuff is being loaded, but it is!
Of course, once the server can access the NW partition
there is a system and public directory.
