Good move....however .......I reckon it's a good way to learn a foreign
language......I now know such great Swedish words as those whihc mean
"print" & "Cancel" &....

OK possibly my poor explanation...

the "K" is the button usually on the extreme left at the bottom
of the screen. It is the KDE version of "start". Do you have
that?

Once you've clicked on the "K" is there then a sub menu called
"Configuration"? If so click on that. On the Configuration sub
sub menu....is there a sub sub sub mnu choice called "packaging"?
If so click on that. et voila...the software install etc choices.

Right it's where you source your software from. There is an easier way if
you're feeling all techie....which is to look up "urpmi" which is
the actual piece of code which does the business. All the rest are just
GUI'es put on top of it. Google for urpmi or man urpmi (or possibly both if
you feel like it).

i.e. you can just open a terminal & type urpmi . NB given
you're installing etc software you usually have to su first such that
you're root.
