I've never seen one of those sensors that works with a car. I live in a
city where all the intersections have sensors, and it is impossible to make
more than two lights in a row (unless you are going 20 to 25 over).

I bet if you took a screw driver to one of those things some time you'd find
that there aren't any wires attached. I think it is just a joke that the
city engineering dept plays so they can sit in their cars and watch people
making fools of themselves pounding on a button with false hopes :-)
