Hello Robert!
First, let me say that the new option -j# for "hollow" archives is just
***great***!!! Love it; it's a very useful item for problem solving on my
system! :-)
Two observations:
-j# should *not* be used with the -js switch, otherwise the hollow archive
will end up with a pile of *.zip, *.arj, *.lha (etc.,etc) files. Even worse,
if used with a *combination* of -js and -jt1, it will simply not work, for
good reason :-) Is there a way for you to have -j# automatically turn off
-js if set in the environment (Arj.cfg)? Or can Arj.cfg's function be
changed to accomodate switches in a similar manner as it sets defaults for
commands? Or, can -j# be changed from a switch to a command?
-jt1 of a hollow archive may show at the tail end:
Found 2 error(s)!
when in actual fact only *one* such error was found; example:
Testing GOLDED.MSG NOT matched, CRC error!
and all other files showed something like:
Testing CONTEXT.TXT Matched, OK
My test was done in one directory only, with 309 files:
------------ ---------- ---------- -----
309 files 10147445 0 0.000
and only one file was changed between -j# and t -jt1, all screen output was
re-directed to *.txt files.
Cheers, Hans
... Damn door .CFG files. And I thought SysOping was a hobby!
