subject: OO.org 2.x Quicstarter

From: "Frank Haber"

Pardon me if I interrupt the comforting flow of advocacy and religious
opsys preference here, but... (g)....

Anyone else find the Quickstarter in OO.org 2.0 Win positively poisonous to
your video? I've now encountered my third machine where, eventually, every
app gets a sort of St. Vitus' dance, as though some robot were hitting a
half-page up or down key, 5 or ten times a second. This generally happens
in a browser first, then spreads to any GUI app window open on the desktop
that has a v-scrollbar and the focus. You don't even have to have used an
Open Office app since boot. Reboot or re-login fixes it for a while.
Removing the Quickstart loader app from Hkey Run fixes it permanently.

The latest was a Thinkpad x60, Intel 945G integrated video. All three
instances were on very low-video-horsepower, vanilla business machines, all
on XP.
