From: "Frank Haber" Notepad's probably a bad example. Remember when I asked whether Notepad for NT4/5 still had the 32k file limit? I was ignorant, but I keep finding back-version Notepads *in the path* on newer computers, and a half-dozen third party replacements, renamed NOTEPAD.EXE. Nothing nefarious; just the last tech doing some personalization, I guess. Many intelligent owners also manually replaced their FDISK and DEFRAG under Win 9x, for very good reasons. You can't depend on nuttin'. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 106/2000 633/267 |
