RC> At the very least, socialism is the direction you yourself would not RC> mind seeing this country take and you buddy in the whitehouse is trying RC> his best to take us there.. Actually he's NOT. He seeks to diversify business and hold down the corporate takeover that leads to fascism. In any case Barack Hussein Obama leads but does NOT make the law. Obama has carefully followed the direction of the United States Constitution and left the making of laws to the Congress which is rather understandable given he's a constitutional scholar. In fact there's absolutely no reason to call the recent passage of health care Obamacare as he had nothing to do with the crafting of that legislation, only forfilling his campaign promise of passing universal health care. I thought it a real hoot when the tea baggers showed up to protest taxes when Obama led the way for the legislature to CUT taxes for 95 percent of American, a step in the right direction towards improving the economy. Then too I found it absolutely HYSTERICAL when the pro-gun right fanatics gathered in a federal park in Virginia to protest Obama taking away their gun rights when in fact had not Obama signed into law the right to carry in national parks they all could have been arrested. The news media for the greatest part in this country is NOT in the business of informing the public. Just sensationalism, entertainment and yellow journalism. An example of GOOD journalism was provided by Bill Moyers "Selling the War" where I was very gratified to see that program focus a great deal of attention on Knight Ridder news and their quite accurate assesment of the WMD threat posed by Iraq before the war. I called it correctly BEFORE the start of that war and my source for that correct call was Knight Ridder as well as some members of the CIA and first months certain cabinet members of the early Bush administration. The date on Moyers "Selling the War", unfortunately 2005 and thus rather too late. I just got around to watching it on pbs.org a few days back. However it IS the reason I employ great diversity in the news sites I visit. Even Fox News and Al Jazeera are there however bookmarked under blogs. FWIW I consider them both about equally inaccurate though the latter has persuaded me that Islam is NOT a religion of peace. The general tone of the editorials makes that rather clear. I recently added The Asian Times and boy are they hot we haven't hit Iran. They made some rather annoyingly good points for their case. However they were very thin on making any case for reliable intelligence of Iran actually pursuing nuclear weapons. OTOH with the previous administrations saber rattling I would not be the least bit surprised if Iran is now moving in that direction. ...
