TR> Beaten Jindal Staffer Says Protesters are the Perpetrators -
Wrong!

TR> The mother of one of the victims of a brutal beating in New
TR> Orleans outside of a Southern Republican Leadership
TR> Conference (SRLC) event has confirmed in a new interview
TR> that the two victims assaulted outside of the high-dollar
TR> GOP fundraiser believe their attackers were part of the
TR> crowd of protesters outside the event.
Wrong! The video of the interview, on Fox News, is avaialable
on Real Clear Politics, and is linked to by Connie Hair. What
the interviewer asked was whether or not the mother had any
problem with the police report. The interviewer said the public
affairs officer claimed political insults were hurled during the
attack. The mother refused to answer that.
A transcript is on Human Events.

TR> Bautsch's leg was "stomped" by her assailants causing
That has been blogged incessantly. So far all that has been
*reported* is that she was knocked down and screamed her leg was
broken.
...
TR> The assailants were described as five Caucasian males, the
TR> main assailant looking "dirty" (but not homeless), with
TR> dark red ponytail and a beard.
TR> During her first interview with Fox News (reported and
TR> transcribed in full on HUMAN EVENTS) Bautsch's mother,
TR> Della Berning, confirmed reports of the political nature of
TR> the attacks but was reluctant to discuss that aspect of the
TR> assault.
No, she did not confirm any political aspect whatsoever. Look at
the video on realclearpolitics.com
TR> In her latest interview with Yahoo News (via The Hayride,
TR> h/t Pat Dollard) Berning went a bit further, saying her
TR> daughter Bautsch and her daughter's boyfriend, Brown,
TR> believe the attackers were a group of political protesters
TR> who followed them after they left the GOP event.
Believe, but they also say they cannot be sure. And the taunts
were non-political.
TR> And they are not alone. Louisiana GOP Chairman Roger
TR> Villere, Jr., the host of the fundraising event that took
TR> place April 9 at Brennan's Restaurant in the New Orleans
TR> French Quarter, said when he and his party of a half-dozen
TR> people tried to leave the event, the front door was blocked
TR> by protesters.
That was shown in the video from New Orleans business news. No
news there.
TR> As reported in an interview with Villere by Lincoln Parish
TR> News Online, when Villere's group left through the back
TR> door, they were spotted by a faction of the protesters who
TR> gave chase. Villere and his group managed to jump into a
TR> cab before the protesters in pursuit caught up with them.
Which means nothing happened.
TR> Bautsch and Brown left the restaurant about an hour later.
Note that, an hour later.
TR> According to Berning, Bautsch's mother, the beaten couple
TR> was also targeted from the moment they left the restaurant.
TR> "things were said to my daughter and to her boyfriend that
TR> basically everything was about money," Berning said. "From
TR> the time they were walking out of the restaurant things
TR> were being said to them."
Yep, and most of those things are not repeated in the article.
TR> The couple was not robbed by the group of five assailants,
TR> only beaten.
Oh, and only one actual attacker for sure.
TR> Mick Wright at the Tennessee Conservative has an extensive
TR> array of photographs of the actual group of protesters in

conservative, anarchist.
