Hello Jim, nice talking to you !
JW> If you guys look at the main menu in the first window that appears in
JW> BW you will see the option "Setup/Configure Mail Reader".
Click on it.
JW> Then "Preferences", then "Default Preferences",
and you will find "File
JW> and String Preferences". Click on it and arrow down to
"Message Save
JW> File". You will see which file name you are saving messages to. Right
JW> arrow and change it to "*.txt". Save changes and exit the
JW> Setup/Configure area.
JW> In the BW directory, create as many *.txt files as you need.
Nice suggestion, Jim, but it is not what I was looking for. I
most of the time, want to save not a full message but just portion
of one, ie: one URL to C&P into my browser. Also, if I change the
"Message Change File" it screws up the .rep too as this is where BW
saves them before they are packed to a .rep packet. The one by one
editing of the line is tolerable and I will stick to it for the
time being.
JW> Now, the next time you are reading in BW and save a message, you will
JW> get a table with choices to save to.
This might be worth looking into if actually the options are
offered. I have not gone that step yet.
JW> Jim, in Yellowknife
Cold there ?
Is FIDO not a fine institution ?
I have to get my fix everyday.
