You can't have any copy protection in a downloadable iso. The idea is all
the exploitable installs of the product that are on the internet need to be
patched, regardless of if they are pirated or not.

If you only allow patches for legal copies and there are lots of illegal
copies then you accomplish nothing, the internet still gets hammered
because of exploits of your software and you still get blamed for causing
the problem.
