Well it's there in living color with every facet of the system
demonstrated and workable. HE may be massaging the numbers to suit his
own tastes, but I see no reason for him to do so since he's not selling
ANY of the components and has no axe to grind.
-> We are in the design stage of a house that size using PV and possibly
-> a wind generator and air conditioning is not even being considered
-> and we are far from Florida.
Being far from Florida allows you that luxury. AC is a required way of
life along the coast where this is located. One hundred miles inland
(Near Lat 28) I'm heavily dependant on AC. Doing it for 75 buck$ a
month would be possible even here with a properly designed house and
super efficient equipment. His use of Diesel as his prime source of
power fits in rather closely with several estimates from some of our
regulars.
I will admit to being shocked that he could run a lot of the stuff he
could without firing up the generator though. Hundred and fifty amp arc
welders are somewhat excessive as battery loads through invertors!
Good luck on your Colorado system! I envy you!
