Good. I am a Southern Baptist who is outraged by this attack on all
things Disney that has been going on in Southern Baptist Churches for
years, now culminating in a call for an all-out boycott. I care very
deeply about church, church people, church programs and all that. I am
not an outsider throwing mud on the church. I have preached in SB
churches and baptized my wife in a SB church last year.
The Southern Baptist Convention has gone completely MAD!
They complain that Hollywood is too naughty and evil for us. They
complain about nudity and violence in movies. There's one great big
company that produces more clean, solid family movies than anyone else
and the SBC attacks them! I have many friends that now do not take their
kids to disney movies because of this boycott, yet they have no problem
with taking their kids to the latest R-rated Arnold Swartzennegar flick!
I am NOT anti-Arnold, but I do think that Disney is more suitable for
children and families than the rest of what Hollywood produces.
You scream for decent clean family movies and then you boycott studios
that provide them.
Are we in a paralell universe or what?
Of course that's just my opinion. I could be RIGHT!!!!!
