FWIW Most *modern* NiCd batteries are relatively free from the "memory"
problems the early NiCd's were prone to. However if you notice a
definite drop in average life it is time for a complete discharge *g*
(I *do* recommend a monthly discharge of *cordless* phones as they are
often only removed from the charging cradle when a call is in progress)
