No, actually you weren't. Sauer was complaining about people who disagree with President Obama. John asked him about his view of people who have a GENUINE disagreement with Obama. I pointed out that his posts for the last two years have reflected a True Believer mindset that recognizes no such disagreement as being genuine. All must be attacked. You conveniently jumped in to show that you also are such a Believer. You are not alone. Many others follow along with every flip and flop and reversal of position. For a good parody of your mindset, see: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rick-horowitz/offshore-it-were-all-for_b_521448.html This is on the reversal of position on off-shore drilling. In part: " Were we caught off guard when the president made his announcement? Maybe a little bit. Some of us here at All Things Obama had somehow been under the impression that the president had a somewhat different view of the matter, and that his view on expanded offshore drilling could best be summed up as follows: No way. No how. Accordingly, some of us had adopted a quite similar view, and we were only too happy to point out the many dangers, and the minimal benefits, that expanded offshore drilling would produce. But once the president clarified his thinking -- that is, once the president announced on Wednesday that he wanted to go ahead with expanded offshore drilling -- we were only too happy to point out what a wonderful thing this would be. We're also happy to point out how carefully nuanced and deeply reasoned the president's decision was -- not to mention how judicious it was, and even how politically savvy it was. All in all, in fact, we have no hesitation in saying that Barack Obama made exactly the right decision, for exactly the right reasons, and that we're totally on board -- unless, of course, he should decide to change his mind, in which case that will be exactly the right decision, for exactly the right reasons. We await further instructions." --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:124/311) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 848 @PATH: 124/311 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
