Hello, Maurice!

Replying to a message of Maurice Kinal to Michael Grant:

MK> Nice meeting you guys. Perhaps we'll meet up after your OS's go the
 MK> way of the dodo.

FWIW, I don't think there's any such creature as an "obsolete"
OS. If it works for you, then it's not obsolete, is it? I had Linux
installed here, worked nicely, but I removed it. I run nearly all under
OS/2, save for a few programs that I can't find a replacement for (such as
Cool Edit Pro 2.0) under OS/2.

I'm not trying to start an OS flame war here, but I am saying that comments
like that are likely to splinter what comradarie that there is here. We
have a common goal and together, we can all achieve it.

Me? I'll stick to running Maximus/2 v3.01. It works for me and I have no
problems with it (save for the 16 network limit, but that's just more of a
minor annoyance :). I'm happy to see Max being ported to Linux-it's about
time Linux gets a decent open source BBS. :> That in itself is why I'm
hesitant to switch my BBS from OS/2-everything I have works fine and
there's no reason for me to switch, but I don't knock other people's OS
choices.

Later,
Sean
