On 04-14-10, ROSS SAUER said to ALL: RS>Now we can see the real reason Sarah the Quitter abandoned her job, that RS>she had been elected to do. RS>A group of college students also found parts of the contract that detail RS>Sarah's demands for speaking at a function. RS>No unscreened questions, black SUV's or Town Cars, a Lear Jet private RS>aircraft, oh, and bendy straws with her bottled water. RS>Pundits can debate the political costs and benefits of Sarah Palin's RS>decision to step down as Alaska governor, but the monetary advantages of RS>leaving her $125,000-a-year public service post are beyond dispute. RS>Since leaving office at the end of July 2009, the 2008 Republican vice RS>presidential nominee has brought in at least 100 times her old salary - a RS>haul now estimated at more than $12 million -- through television and book RS>deals and a heavy schedule of speaking appearances worth five and six RS>figures. And that just gripes your guts, doesn't it? I guess we can add Sarah Palin's name to the long list of those whose success in life causes you no end to inner rage (not to mention personal embarassment). Compared to you, on a scale of one to ten, she'd be a one hundred! I'm amazed you aren't talking up a good beating for her. You seem to like the idea of visiting violence on those who aren't of `your' political mind: "....they deserve to get beaten up." .......Otto Sauer Does that go for the woman who works for the governor of Louisiania, who got beaten up by a bunch of whackos, and has a broken leg? And her boyfriend who also got beaten to a pulp? Oh, here's something nice for you. Right up your alley, in fact: Editorial Exegesis Tea Party Patriots "A group named CrashtheTeaParty.org is planning on attending Tea Party rallies around the country tomorrow pretending to be party members. The strategy is to behave outrageously on Tax Day to provide fodder for the media, which likes to portray opponents to the Obama presidency as fringe radicals. The plot is part of the typical liberal playbook to silence opposition to the left-wing agenda. The party crashers already have dropped into Tea Party meetings and rallies to stake out vulnerabilities. According to Jason Levin, head of CrashtheTeaParty.org, the group has affiliates in 65 cities across the land. He unconvincingly claims that his group's bizarre antics will simply reflect the hidden views of Tea Partiers. 'Do I think most of them are homophobes, racists or morons? Absolutely,' Mr. Levin told Associated Press. The saboteurs' Web site leaves no doubt about the methods being employed. 'Whenever possible, we will act on behalf of the Tea Party in ways which exaggerate their least appealing qualities (misspelled signs, wild claims in TV interviews, etc.) to further distance them from mainstream America and damage the public's opinion of them,' the site informs. ... 'They can't actually debate our message, and that's their problem,' explains Bob MacGuffie, an organizer for a Tea Party group with members in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. The Democrats' desperation shows that Mr. MacGuffie is right on target. Polls show the American public is angry about the explosion of government power during the Obama presidency and Democratic control of Congress. Liberals in power don't have thoughtful responses to popular criticism, so they are trying to ostracize skeptical thought and intimidate those brave enough to stand against the bureaucratic juggernaut." --The Washington Times --- *Durango b301 #PE** Origin: Doc's Place BBS Fido Since 1991 docsplace.tzo.com (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 848 @PATH: 123/140 500 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
