subject: Obama Derangement Syndrom

JM>>>>> * They don't want to have to defend the revelation that
JM>>>>> Obama and his family will not be subject to the
JM>>>>> restrictions, requirements and penalties of ObamaCare.

BK>>>> Uh... the president has his own medical team.

JM>>> Like I said that he's exempt from his own program that he
JM>>> is pushing on the rest of the country.

BK>> Only while he's in office. He don't get that medical team
BK>> once he's out of office.

BK>> The military is exempt also.

BA> The military has Tricare, and members have no choice or say
BA> in the matter. Note that the military has been and
BA> presumably continues to close military hospitals at active
BA> bases all over the country.

Thank the republicans for that. Under universal health care that
 won't matter.

BK>> For that matter, anyone with employer provided insurance
BK>> will see little difference. What little they will see will
 BK>> be more service.

BA> I seriously doubt both of those claims.

 You doubt without reason.

BK>>>> Are you willing to defend the fact that Bush got gold
BK>>>> plated medical care while 45 million had no coverage, and
 BK>>>> limited care?

BA> Nope. Nor will I defend Obama having that same care.

Well, that's a start. Oh, and when they talk about taxing gold
plated health care, my response is, the only one I know of who
has gold plated health care is the president. And the VP I
 expect.

JM>>> Bush is no longer president, I don't care what Bush did. I
JM>>> care about what the current president is doing to the
 JM>>> United States.

BK>> IOW, it's all about Obama. Thanks for admitting it.

BK>> BTW, do you denounce Mitt Romney for writing and getting
BK>> enacted a program very much like this one?

 No response to that one.

JM>>>>> * They don't want to have to explain how an insurance
JM>>>>> company can charge lower premiums when its healthier
JM>>>>> policy holders take a hike and they're forced to insure
JM>>>>> people who are already sick.

BK>>>> That is why they have mandated coverage. The only other
BK>>>> alternative is single payer government medicine.

BA> That's not the only other alternative. The alternative to
BA> mandated coverage is to leave the business. When *all*

Not as long as they are making money, which they will either
way. That's how it works in the rest of the industrialized
 world.

BA> health insurors leave the business one's choice will be the
BA> government. Presumably that same government will also
BA> outlaw the use of cash, checks or credit cards in payment
BA> for medical services - to prevent those evil rich people
BA> from acquiring medical services they aren't "entitled" to.

 Conspiracy theory run amuck.

BA> Note, however, that those evil rich people will simply go
BA> to someplace outside the control of the government to
BA> obtain the services they want.

Since the only places worth living have national health care,
 your theory is faulty.

 BA> They may even permanently
BA> relocate outside the reach of the US government, and take
BA> as many of their assets with them as they can. Better hurry

What can they take they are not sending there now? Their art
collections? Their expensive houses? The first doesn't do me a
lot of good, and the latter isn't quite practical.

Their money? It has to be spent here sooner or later or it's
 worthless.

BA> up and pass Ted Kennedy's proposal to confiscate the assets
BA> of everybody leaving the country.

Why? Where are they going to take them? China? Aside from the
fact that they really don't want to live there, they are taking
their factories there now. So what's the difference?

Everything they can threaten to take overseas they are already
sending overseas. Until we stop that we don't have to worry abou
them leaving. And if we can stop that, they can leave, but the
 factories will still be here.
