MSDN subscribers are not the only ones who need passport. Windows Live, =
Hotmail, MSN, try and use any of these services popular features and you =
are pretty much forced to use passport.
I gave just one example which forced me to use it. I paid for something =
and was forced to get a passport to take advantage of it.

Are you trying to be as much an idiot as mike miller? Not only are =
MSDN subscribers an insignificant fraction of the more than 200 million =
users, they are in no way forced. That is unless you consider people =
that sign up for any other optional subscription service forced to make =
that choice. Or maybe you consider members of other services that =
require signing in such as ebay or amazon.com as being forced.
In the mean time, Passport has been extraordinarily successful.

Passport has with more than 200 million users.
Just because a customer who buys MSDN needs to sign up for a =
passport to
access their MSDN online, doesn't make them a "user". Forced don't =
count.
