Understood but then why bother with a 64 bit cpu?  It seems like a waste to me.

Convinced that I should buy one, either raspi2 or raspi3, although out of the
two raspi3 looks to be the better deal.

I thought the 2GHz was quite the jump.

Excellent!  Thanks for pointing it out.  The last specs I saw were still
claiming 2GHz.
