couldn't remove (like in Voyager's unity) that let him "hear" the
BORG in FC.

When Q flung them to the Delta Quad in TNG's 7th season "Q Who?".
The Borg investigated, beamed onto the E-D absorbed computer info,
found the Earth's home planet (sector 001) and then Q flung them
back after Picard said he needed Q to win.  Then the Borg came in
episodes later....
