| subject: | Re: Microsoft`s deactivation feature and graduation? |
From: "Frank Haber" Remember, we're talking a unit price per desktop of only roughly $55 for faculty (permanent), and $25 (student, fugitive, trojan-monitored), for **full Office Pro and XP Pro***. Cheepcheep. I went to the MS calculator and entered a mythical school of 300 faculty and 900 students (classy faculty-student ratio, eh?). The perpetual license for students, again presumably trojan-monitored, can be purchased for those who leave school early. There's some fuzzy way to purchase perpetual licenses for those who get their mortarboards, but I couldn't find pricing (more). Students can also perpetually indenture^H^H license themselves by throwing dollars at some hard-to-find Microsoft extortioni^H^H representative, providing their school has done something obscure and prayed to Redmond on Thursdays in the Gibbous moon, and offered proof of same. They should make this exemplar #1 in Contract Law case law classes.
