To you, 12 hops, not counting my router:

Test 1: 694.1 Kbps / 85.1 KBps
Test 2: 791.5 Kbps / 97 KBps
Test 3: 86.4 KBps

Within country, 7 hops away, not counting my router: 128 KB file: 2050 Kbps
/ 246.4 KBps
  1 MB file: 2038 Kbps / 249.8 KBps
 10 MB file: 1837 Kbps / 229.6 KBps

Upload: 461 Kbps / 57.6 KBps

I'm on a 2MBps down / 512 Kbps up cable link. Tested mid evening here.
