Please accept my apologies for the delay in acknowledging your message of 21 
September. Thank you for your suggestion regarding my inability to format 
page numbers in Word 6 to my requirements. 
 
I have not yet found the dialog-box you referred to but it has been suggested 
in recent messages that the problem may be in the printer driver. 
 
Be that as it may I managed to get my page numbers how and where I wanted 
them by including them as Footers.
