I'm using two Courier v.everythings and a Sporster that have x2 capability.  
It works and works quite well.  However, if I had had to pay for any of the 
three upgrades, I think I would have waited for the standard to be determined 
before upgrading.  I also have access to a K56Flex modem however there are no 
sites that I can call with it as yet.  At least with X2, I had several Fido 
sites with Courier I-modems that I could call to get decent speed tests -- 
with my ISP, x2 is a crap shoot since the speed depends more on how busy they 
are than anything else.  Doesn't matter if you have a 3" pipeline or a 6" 
pipeline if it's being fed by a 1/2 hose.
