It is mounted in a similar location on the Durango. Not far from the
blower motor, up inside the vent area. Just a few bolts hold it up there.
On the passenger side about a foot away from the blower motor. Remove two
bolts and it comes down.

My first connector was melted so bad, I couldn't remove it. I had to cut
the wires and re-do everything with wire-nuts.

The problem with the Durango is the wire harness melts/shorts and fries the
blower motor relay. When that happens, just the high setting doesn't work.
Everything else does work. Happened to me three times, until I replaced
the wire harness and blower motor itself.

There is a case where the blower motor can draw too much power and fry them
over and over again.

Yes, that is what causes many of the failures. The best bet when someone
with a Durango has a problem like this, is replace everything. Wire
harness, blower motor resister, and blower motor.
