Always wear collars.  If the straps really bother you, check the 
neoprene models... OpTech makes some good ones. or do what I do and 
carry them over your shoulder instead.

Only thing I've ever caught in the car window is a hatbrim... which 
annoyed me enough as was...

Quite all right.  I figgered out a while back that my basic problem
