BJ> You only need a Bachelor's (B.A.) degree to teach through highschool BJ> (thru 17 / 18 years old) in this state. BS> Okay it's different from state to state ? (What is the BS> state called WA, it really annoys me that I don't know). Potentially. I believe each state has their own certification, but you can generally transfer one state's certification to another state. I probably should watch when I use what is within the United States standard state, territory and (for Canada) province abbriviations. WA is for the state of Washington, in the northwest corner of the 48 contingent United States. Washington, USA is south of British Columbia, Canada (BC), and north of Oregon, USA (OR). [WA, BC and OR are part of Fidonet region 17, in zone 1.] BJ> But those with Master's BJ> degrees or additional classed beyond the bachelor's degree make more BJ> money. Since I already have both a bachlor's (B.S.) degree and a BJ> Master's degree, I should be able to just spend about 1 year getting BJ> a second master's degree.... BS> Indeed, there isn't along way to go to get a master.. BS> BTW In this country can the BA only teach in one BS> subject, a master have a Primary and a Secondary BS> subject. Teaching certifications are for apecific subjects or areas and/or grade levels in this state. But if you have a teaching certificate, you can find yourself teaching subjects outside your area of certification, at least in some of the areas.... BS>> Download of QWK packets work, but upload don't because BS>> of the file transfer upload didn't work. BJ> Interesting that downloads work but uploads don't. Ah.... We are BJ> still interpreting somethings that causes upload errors..... BJ> Probably need to turn off some things (TTY or for the handle of the BJ> TCP/IP session) to get uploads working then.... BS> I guess the problem is either in sz.c or fos_os2.c I haven't looked. If it is in fos_os2.c, then there should be an equivalent file for the Linux implmentation -- or atleast that's what I would expect..... Again, I haven't looked that close at this part of the code that we are using under Linux. BJ> Maximus/2 has a size limitation on the buffer used to read in the BJ> previous message and used for quoting. In full screen mode, using BJ> , you don't see the end of the message you are quoting BJ> if that message is too long for the buffer. BS> Oh okay, how big is that limitation? I don't know. The message that I replied to where I first commented on the limit hit the limit within 10 lines of the last line I quoted. Do you care to look it up and count how many lines in to the message I was replying to that my last quoted line was? [Ok, that sentence structure may be a bit too complex for translataing to your native language. Appologies.] BJ> The OS/2 buffer is BJ> laarger than the DOS buffer..... I suspect the Win32 buffer is the BJ> same size as for OS/2. I am guessing that BJ> Maximums / Linux buffer is BJ> also the same size as the OS/2 buffer. BS> Wes did use the OS/2 port of maximus as a good example, so I bet so :) That's what I expect..... Take care.....
