Sorry I can't be of much help to you as the last time I ran dosemu was back in
the mid to late 1990's and only for a month or so.  I had a BBS on there too
but decided it wasn't worth it.

Can then 'drives' be loop mounted like image files?  If so it will be possible
to recover data that way.  I know it can be done with image files meant to be
mounted as rootfs in virtual space.  Same with iso's and the such.
