I also find it humorous that those who were most in favour of "dealing
with Saddam" because of his pervasive security apparatus are so in
favour of it at home.

Nah you have to fight to keep what you have. That's the problem with your
lawyer/paper monarch combo wrt protecting you, it makes you forget that
& thus have to rely on the lawyers.
