What version of the Advantis dialer are you using?  I've found 
the latest (v1.67) to be quite versatile and it does re-dial when
the connection is lost.

I seem to recall that either of those programs (and the DOIP
program) can be used with Advantis, but you need to use a script
to generate the proper responses.  I've never bothered to try,
though.  I honestly find the Advantis dialer to be at least as
versatile than any other ones (and I have used all three of the
major alternatives above with another ISP) and the Advantis 
dialer is much easier to set up.
