RB>Good morning all,
RB>I am starting to add 'context-sensative' help to my FPD2.6
RB>application and am (strongly) considering using the FoxPro .DBF style
RB>help system. Has anyone done this, and what has been your experience?

RB>Thanks and Greetings from Chicago's southern suburbia, Randy
I have used the DBF style help in a number of apps. It is fairly easy,
just create a dbf file with the same structure as FP's own help file.
You can even just copy FOXHELP.DBF to a new file name and then add and
delete records as required.
USE C:\FPD26\FOXHELP AGAIN ALIAS TEMP
COPY TO MYHELP
USE MYHELP
In the setup code for your app include the SET HELP TO . I also include a couple of lines to set the topic to a
memvar, At the points in the program were I want to change the context I
just change the contents of the memvar to match the appropriate record's
topic field..
SET HELP TO
mhtopic='Main Menu'
SET TOPIC TO m.mhtopic
