Psalms 136:1
1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:2
2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 136:3
3 O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 136:4
4 To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 136:5
5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:6
6 To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy
endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:7
7 To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever: Psalms 136:8
8 The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever: Psalms 136:9
9 The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 136:10
10 To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psalms 136:11
11 And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psalms 136:12
12 With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:13
13 To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psalms 136:14
14 And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psalms 136:15
15 But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy
endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:16
16 To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy
endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:17
17 To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: Psalms 136:18
18 And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever: Psalms 136:19
19 Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever: Psalms 136:20
20 And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever: Psalms 136:21
21 And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psalms 136:22
22 Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:23
23 Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:
Psalms 136:24
24 And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Psalms 136:25
25 Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalms 136:26
26 O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever. CHAPTER 137
Psalms 137:1
1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
Psalms 137:2
2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof. Psalms 137:3
3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and
they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs
of Zion.
Psalms 137:4
4 How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land? Psalms 137:5
5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning. Psalms 137:6
6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth;
if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. Psalms 137:7
7 Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said,
Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. Psalms 137:8
8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that
rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Psalms 137:9
9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
CHAPTER 138
Psalms 138:1
1 A Psalm of David. I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods
will I sing praise unto thee.
Psalms 138:2
2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy
lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above
all thy name.
Psalms 138:3
3 In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with
strength in my soul.
Psalms 138:4
4 All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the
words of thy mouth.
Psalms 138:5
5 Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
Psalms 138:6
6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the
proud he knoweth afar off.
Psalms 138:7
7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt
stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right
hand shall save me.
Psalms 138:8
8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD,
endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
