Hey Nicholas!
NB> Where's that!?
In the ftn_functions file that I use along with a mess of hardcoded information
unique to me. I have to go through it before I can make it more generic. I
figure a seperate configuration file would help that cause.
NB>> Separate scripts? Or all manual?
See above but a seperate configuration file will help me make the ftn_functions
more generic and thus suitable for putting up for grabs ... if it even gets
that far. Have a looksee at what is there first and we'll then talk whether or
not this is of any interest of further development. I have my doubts but you
never know for sure. Personally I think I could easily live with stripping out
more from the raw pkts than the one I posted does. All the so-called control
codes readily come to mind.
NB> That's why I asked you to netmail me with the details.
Understood.
NB> When I have time to dive in, I'd like to check it out to it's
NB> fullest extent.
It still needs work but if the part you already has does indeed work then the
rest should. If it doesn't then there is no need to look at the rest as it
depends on the creation of new_messages.raw from raw pkt(s).
NB> I'm not all that bad at troubleshooting, and would be able to let
NB> you know exactly which script I ran that caused anything odd to
NB> happen. :)
I am guessing sed is where it will fail if it does fail.
NB> I haven't tried it yet. Hopefully I can get into it this weekend
NB> though.
No rush. I am still picking away at my latest install and am totally pissed
off with ntpd on it mainly because of the stinkin' clock on this particular
board which is obviously running too fast. It has me seriously thinking about
the Rasberri-Pi-GPS-PPS-el-cheapo-LAN-time-server idea. :::mutter, mutter,
mutter:::
Also, as long as I am griping, the power supply on my usual development machine
whose clock is reliable, decided to die unexpectedly and suddenly. I was doing
some awesome wireless meshing on there and now all that is on hold until I take
care of that ... or decide to give all that the heave-ho. Stinkin' wireless.
Hm. Now where did I last leave the sledge hammer? ;-)
Life is good,
Maurice
... Don't cry for me I have vi.
