Actually you do to some degree. Not all celphones are supported on all cel networks.

Yes, the cable for mine was $50 with a CD and if you use some software
found on the internet you can not only get the pictures you can upload your
own ringtones and even access the GPS information and log files. The
software they include with the cable doesn't do much of this but will let
you maintain your contact list much easier than you can from the phone
buttons.

Oh, I've converted full movies and uploaded them to my phone as well (it's
got a gig of ram) but you really can't watch a movie that way, it's fun to
show folks though. Watching the beginning of "Pitch Black" with
the crash scene is pretty cool on any screen.
