Oh, great. Now there's something to be depressed about.  Having an
oscillating universe is bad enough because it effectively means that
there is no long term.  All artistic endeavours would be destroyed in
a big crunch, but at least there would be a chance for a renewed
universe that would allow life to develop again.  With an infinitely
expanding universe, however, the only possible end is a heat death. 
Lights out permanently.

Boy, am I totally bummed now.  I'm gonna watch West Wing and hate
hollyweird pimps for a while.
