From: "Friends" CHAPTER 52 Psalms 52:1 1 To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said unto him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually. Psalms 52:2 2 Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. Psalms 52:3 3 Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. Psalms 52:4 4 Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue. Psalms 52:5 5 God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. Psalms 52:6 6 The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him: Psalms 52:7 7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. Psalms 52:8 8 But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. Psalms 52:9 9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints. CHAPTER 53 Psalms 53:1 1 To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good. Psalms 53:2 2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Psalms 53:3 3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Psalms 53:4 4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God. Psalms 53:5 5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them. Psalms 53:6 6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. CHAPTER 54 Psalms 54:1 1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. Psalms 54:2 2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. Psalms 54:3 3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. Psalms 54:4 4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. Psalms 54:5 5 He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth. Psalms 54:6 6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good. Psalms 54:7 7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies. -+- http://www.s-f-i.biz - Looking for Christian Partners to build a business http://www.family-topsites.com - Family Oriented Topsites http://lypha.ekklesia-online.org - Extremely Affordable Web Hosting 5.95 - no disk or bandwidth limits http://www.baptist-ministries.org - Independent Baptist Web Portal --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: http://www.familynet-international.net (972)-496-0650 (8:8/2003) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/331 14/250 34/999 120/228 123/500 128/2 140/1 222/2 226/0 SEEN-BY: 250/306 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 SEEN-BY: 393/11 396/45 633/260 267 712/848 800/432 801/161 189 2222/700 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 2905/0 @PATH: 8/2003 1 2 266/512 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
